Land Acknowledgement

This Land Acknowledgement video for the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus highlights the deep connection between the University, its students, the agricultural workforce, and the land we share with our Indigenous neighbours. To honour the significance of this relationship, our branding was intentionally omitted to maintain the video’s focus and integrity.

In the Spirit of Water

We were honoured to be asked by the Lambton Kent District School Board to produce a film that captures ‘In the Spirit of Water’; an Elementary Educator Conference hosted in Chatham, Ontario in the spring of 2023.
The event was organized by the board’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Team to inspire all of us to move toward a more inclusive way of being. They chose water as a theme for its universality, something we all share.
The event offered space for elementary teachers to understand the power they have as educators and explore how they can better support their student’s unique qualities and gifts.
Invited speakers include: Dr. James Makokis and Anthony Johnson, the first Indigenous Two-Spirit couple to win the Amazing Race Canada; Chris D’Souza, an equity and anti-oppression activist; Cedric Isaac, Bkejwanong Elder and educator; Dorothy Wright, Elder and storyteller from the Black community of Chatham-Kent and Devorah Fick, spiritual leader of Windsor’s Congregation Beth El.
All of us at Huff Media Solutions are proud of this production as we believe it can move all of us toward the kind of world we all hope for, for our children and grandchildren for generations to come.  We hope you agree.

The Amsterdam Museum

This film, created for the Amsterdam Museum, explores the impact of Dutch colonization on the Lenape people when they arrived on the shores of Manahahtáanung 400 years ago and established New Amsterdam. As part of the 2023 exhibition ‘Manahahtáanung or New Amsterdam?’, this is one of six films that examine the lasting effects of colonialism. In this piece, Lenape women share their perspectives on the past and present, reflecting on the deep connection between water, nature, and identity—both before and after the transformation of New Amsterdam into what is now New York.

Lenape Rediscovery Their Homeland… Some for the First Time.

This film captures the Lenape People’s journey back to reconnect to their ancestors and the ever-changing landscape that has become one of the largest cities in the world… New York! Join us on this journey of rediscovery, and witnessing how one Nation continues to demonstrate their resiliency and determination to hold on to who they are, against all odds.

The People of the River

This powerful video was created to help the people of Chapleau Cree First Nation in northern Ontario navigate the complexities of a historic land agreement. Through stunning visuals and heartfelt storytelling, we capture the delicate balance between cultural survival and the weight of a First Nation Treaty Land Entitlement Claim. As we explore the intricacies of land valuation, loss of use, and the legal framework of the agreement, we honour the resilience of the people, the deep-rooted history of the Nation, and, above all, the enduring love for the land they have called home for thousands of years.

Our Log Home B&B

A fantastic, not-so-little country B&B in Moraviantown, just down the street from Huff Media. Sadly the owners Eunice and Renice closed their doors after many successful years. This stylish video shows the beauty of their home business and generosity of their hearts.
